Description historique

La rue du Malberh est un itinéraire ancien figurant sur le plan de Detaille en 1784. Elle part de la route de Pontivy vers le sud après la place du marché. Des vestiges d'une maison du 16e siècle ont été repérés au départ de la rue. Les autres maisons repérées ont toutes été reconstruites sur des parcelles anciennes au 19e siècle.

Commentaire descriptif de l'édifice

Rue large à son départ (un bâtiment au milieu de la rue a été détruit depuis le 19e siècle) et très étroite sur le cadastre ancien, au tracé irrégulier. 5 maisons y ont été repérées.

Observations concernant la protection de l'édifice

Située à la jonction des deux axes qui sont à l'origine de la formation du bourg et siège des anciennes halles, la place du Marché est un élément structurant majeur de la ville.
